Your Prayers Are Part of a Miracle in Motion

Today is America’s National Day of Prayer, a day when the US government is required by its own law to remind us to pray.

But many of us have lost faith in our prayers. We’ve prayed, and things didn’t seem to change. We’ve checked the boxes, but it can feel like God’s checked out.

In Luke 1:13, there’s a moment between an angel and Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. The angel says, “Do not be afraid . . . your prayer has been heard.”

You probably know the story, but there’s something subtle in the verb tense and context that suggests the priest Zechariah was praying for the redemption of his nation but had given up on praying for a child. He didn’t know that his prayers for his nation and his prayer for a child were one in the same.

This story, among many others, reminds us that God hears us when we pray for our land. As we pray big prayers for our nation, though, we would do well to remember that God has a way of answering these big prayers through what He does in and through our own lives, our own expectations, our own pain and process. 

Luke 1:13 also tells us that God even hears the prayers we’ve stopped praying. He hears them because prayer is an outflow of relationship . . . not a religious duty. When a prayer leaves our lips, it journeys to the Father’s heart, where it grows and waits until its time has come.

RESPONSE
I promise that your words, groans, tears, and cries somehow participate in God’s plans for our world. So please, for the sake of both your family and this nation: pray. And pray with expectation. Don’t give up your hope, rather give God your words, whatever sound or form they may take.

We are living in answered prayers, and I believe God is accelerating something beautiful in the earth today. Keep praying, my friend, for it is only through prayer that we come to see the miracle we’re living in and participate in the miracles to come.

GOOD FRIDAY

Very early Good Friday after arresting Jesus at Gethsemane they took him to Caiaphas then to the Praetorium hidden, but they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover. Pilate then went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?” They answered, and said to him,”If he were not an evil doer, we would not have delivered him up to you.” Then Pilate said to them, “You take him and judge him according to your law.” Therefore, the Jews said to him, “it is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,” that the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which He spoke, signifying by what death He would die. then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this or did others tell you this concern, concerning me?” Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew?” Your own nation, and the chief priest have delivered You to me. What have you done?”
Jesus answered , my kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world. My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now my kingdom is not from here.” Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are you a king then?” Jesus answered, “You rightly say that I am a king. Later that night, Jesus took James Peter and John and went to Gethsemane to pray already sensing what He was about to face as He prayed in the garden. He asked the three to remain awake and pray for Him, but they could not. It was 3 o’clock and it was pitch black as if it was as dark as midnight. Heaven did not want to watch what was going to happen to Jesus, the sinless lamb of God, who is going to take on the weight of sin, the sin of the whole world and be crucified upon a cruel cross. Jesus was in the midst of a political war, as well as a religious one He was caught between the Romans and the Religious High Priest. When we look back at the book of Acts, Paul also faced that same type of war. Today we see what’s going on in Jerusalem and what’s going on in the world we two are facing a political and a religious war. It is so important that we understand the Creator of Life, our Heavenly Father, Who created us to worship Him and to live a life of Abundance, a life of Truth Love and Peace. As we face tomorrow, Good Friday, let us remember why it is a Good Friday. Jesus paid the price with His Life and it was not just a death … it was torturous, He was slaughtered Spirit, Soul, and Body. There is absolutely no sin in this world that Jesus would not forgive. He died for the worst of sins and sinners that we might be redeemed and brought back to our Heavenly Father. Have you ever considered that You are a Gift the Holy Spirit and Jesus,…is Returning to the Father Who Created You? Think again, You Are a Gift! May we be in humble reverence as we face tomorrow in Jesus Name amen.

Holy Wednesday a Day of Betrayal…
A Dark Time in One’s Life… A Night Season…
Have you been there?
I have found it is Right There…that I was in HIS SECRET PLACE!!!
I did NOT realize at that time, I felt ALONE AND AFRAID… ABANDONED…Did NOT WANT to talk with Anyone…yet needing someone, but Not wanting ANYONE! ALL THE WHILE NOT REALIZING I WAS IN THE SAFEST PLACE… IN HIS SECRET PLACE! IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOST HIGH GOD!

NOW I KNOW YEARS LATER WHILE IN THIS 40 Days of Fasting…

I am learning that the anointing sometimes may be over you while you are struggling getting through oppositions, flesh hurts, traumas, unaware that you are in the anointing and it is because of His presence that you will get through that season. I am learning that anointing is also ahead of us leading us and at some point, you will be right under the shadow of the anointing and suddenly revelation will come so clear, as to where you have been and where you are now and where you are going. Though the going is still unknown purposefully to keep us humble and not prideful; not to fall into temptation, that we know everything that we’re doing. I am learning the unknown ahead of me is also a protection against my flesh and for my spirit. Today Holy Wednesday, Jesus was being betrayed by one of his followers who walked with Him, talked with Him experienced life with Him. And turned what was good into a sale. Judas sold out the truth. Betrayal.

Proverbs 23:23
Buy the Truth and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding.

How sad Judas had received Truth, TRUTH IS JESUS , and he sold Him out for 20 pieces of silver. The money was not worth it …it BOOMERANGED and took his life. May we learn and remain grateful from our learning, someone paid the price for us to learn…

When I think of the few leaders that God has placed in my life, I am filled with gratitude for the price they paid to learn what they were able, to pass on to me as wisdom, I am grateful, I did not face the suffering they went through , though sometimes I shared part of that suffering, I learned from the wisdom that they shared. And I treasure those lives, because they paved the way for my destiny too.
I love what Pastor David Montgomery said to me one day, “He said Pastor Lori, you are a PathFinder.” I thought that was interesting. And the more it resonated, I realized God is using all of us to set a path before others that they might find the Way the Truth, and the Life, Jesus our Salvation and Redemption!

Jesus was always my beginning, though, I did not know that. He was also my every moment, though I didn’t always understand that, but today I know, and I am determined that Jesus is my end.!!! To God be the glory!

May we walk closer to Jesus every day that we learn how to overcome ourselves and love others as He has loved us. May we learn to respect each other’s space, as we want to be respected. May we do onto others as we would want them to do onto us . And when we are mistreated, maybe then go deeper and forgive them for they know not what they do. Learn not to hurt so deep and choose to heal. Even hurt at some point is a choice that you can turn away and look to Jesus. Look to HEAL.

Abba Father Thank You in the midst of darkness You have placed Your LIGHT The Holy Spirit within us To Rise Out of Darkness and Believe this too shall pass and we are SAFE IN You. As long as we have Breath, Redemption is as near as our repentance … our cry out is never ignored or abandoned… deliver the darkened minds from unbelief and strongholds of evil experiences that hold souls hostage… Breakthrough, JESUS YOUR BLOOD SAVES HALLELUJAH!!! Holy Tuesday …
“Take HEED what you HEAR. With the same measure YOU USE, it will be measured to you; and to you who HEAR,…AND HEED…More will be Given.” Mark 4:24

Pay attention to what you hear. Your appetite comes from your thoughts and your focus. Examine your attention, of your focus and your heart.

Holy week is purposeful to make you “whole” not fractured, whole, spirit, soul, and body. It’s important to take care of your natural body because it is what leads you into your spiritual. The fractures in your natural thoughts are thoughts that are divided, these are areas to be sanctified. For what is HOLY is desired to BE WHOLE….

Our walking in Jesus is not a “performance,” but a relationship… of coming in His likeness rather than performing… being an imitation of Him. The Sermon on the Mount is Kingdom Living, and it is not accomplished by living through flesh, we are enabled only by living through the Holy Spirit. Pay close attention to the words spoken by Jesus at the very beginning,…He is not speaking to multitudes. He left the multitudes THE CROWD…and Walked UP a MOUNTAIN. And He sat down. Then something happened! The disciples.(active learners.) suddenly also climbed Up the Mountain to Him. (Take HEED, Pay Close attention, they were Watching Him, they Were Near, and the Nearness of Jesus, causes your body into a Response.”That one scripture speaks volumes to me. It tells me that disciples are paying close attention to the leader. And are Following. When Jesus went up a mountain the disciples didn’t only watch and wait, they were mountain climbers too. And because they followed Him,
5:2 And He OPENED HIS MOUTH and taught them, saying…. WOW!
HIS BREATH UPON THEM! Hummmm
(we miss a lot when we’re not NEAR Enough) How Near are you to His Breath which today is His Word? His Breath is the Holy Spirit! HOW IS YOUR APPETITE?

-REJOICE AND BE GLAD, FOR YOUR REWARD IS GREAT IN HEAVEN, FOR SO THEY PERSECUTED THE PROPHETS WHO WERE BEFORE YOU.

This is Kingdom Living, and it can only be accomplished through walking and keeping in step with the Spirit, the Holy Spirit.

Greetings Beloved…
I Awaken to TRUTH… PRAYER,.. to God with a sincere heart to intercede for others is an Amazing Grace that God gives to us. I believe sometimes we don’t spend enough time in prayer that we don’t See the Power of Prayer. When you Focus in your Prayer life, it opens your eyes to the things of the Spirit and you begin to see things differently in life. You are able to discern the natural fight, and you also begin to discern the Spiritual Lead. That is so important in your life to be able to discern evil and discern Spiritual Leadership. Often times when I am caught trying to help someone get through a heavy difficulty. Though I can discern what may be the sin that is causing the problem. Many times I hold back judging the sin,.. to listen for the Leadership of the Holy Spirit. I have witnessed, and I have done it myself, where I discerned the sin and quickly brought it to Focus, too Quick…and discussion with the sinner oftentimes caused the person to be on the defense, which may cause a silent war, (they say nothing but they’re angry within) or it may cause a break of counsel and relationship. We should always try to speak the truth in love. That’s your ultimate goal. But if someone is not ready for that truth, perhaps you should wait and pray for that soul. I have learned that my greatest weapon is PRAYER. Because if your goal is to bring a freedom to anyone, it really doesn’t matter if it came by your MOUTH, or IF it came by Prayer.
I also found out that when you pray and intercede for people to Hear the Holy Spirit, that the Spirit would bring them counsel, and a release from sin; that somehow, at some point, that person may come back and tell you what happened. And you may find out that they had the Breakthrough, and it is absolutely amazing when they say to you I was praying and God told me what I needed to do.. At that moment, you smile, inwardly, and know that you have been in partnership with the Holy Spirit and it was Well Done my Good and Faithful servant. This is a humble walk, a true ministry of humility.
PRAYER is a mighty weapon. It keeps us humble. It helps us to know that you are on God’s side and you’re not needing to prove yourself because as you pray, the greatest position to be in IS IN Partnership with the Holy Spirit, whose plan is to carry you home… My friend God said it to me sometime last year while I was driving and praying for the church, He said “Bring people home safely.” I cried and wept, because I realized with just that instruction, it was my purpose in life! So SIMPLE AND SO DEEP!
Come on everybody get closer in PRAYER with the Holy Spirit and bring your family home safely, this is not our home, we are sojourners traveling to a city not made with the hands of man, but made by God. Spend more time in prayer every day that’s your home, for now that’s our homebase. GET FRESH ONTIME INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT…And When Jesus comes, we will HIT the Home Run.!!!

Today is Holy Monday let’s follow Jesus on the road to Calvary. Open your heart and your mind and let His footsteps lead you into a greater revelation of what took place because He loved you…

Matthew 21:12-17
Then Jesus went into the temple of God, and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, My house shall be called a House of Prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.
(we must remember the Purpose of the House of the Lord, I believe the caution here is that we will not be able to do any ministry without Prayer as our LEAD).

Listen to What Happened NEXT… that confronted the Chief Priest and Scribes that were following the mosaic law…

14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priest and scribes, saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant/angry and said to Him, “Do you hear what these are saying?”
And Jesus said to them, “Yes have you never read?
“Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have perfected praise?”

(Jesus refered to the prophets, prophesy And HE Highlighted Children!)

Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants, You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger. WOW!

17 Then He left them and He went out to the city of Bethany, and He lodged there.

Mark 11:12-14
… While in Bethany, He was hungry and seen from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response, Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.”
And His disciples heard it.

(The meaning of Jesus, cursing the fig tree was to cause His disciples (us) to understand the importance of Bearing fruit of righteousness,
of Love, and Faith in our relationship with Him, with God and with others. The purpose of a fig tree is to provide fruit. Because this fig tree was barren, Jesus used it as an illustration, like a Wake Up Call that we need to reflect on our Spiritual journey, not to just go through the motions, like leaves on a tree, but to be fruitful and faithful in your life, constantly evaluating your Spiritual Purpose in Life. We are called to bear fruits, even in the midst of challenges and the many distractions of this world. Our purpose is to bring Glory to God in everything that we do.)

Now, when He came into the temple, the chief priest, and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, by what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you this authority?
but Jesus answered, and said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, which,…if you tell me, …I likewise, will tell you,.. by what authority I do these things.
The baptism of John, “Where was it from? From heaven or from men?”
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, “From heaven, He will say to us, “Why then did you not believe him?” “But if we say, From men, we fear the multitude, for all count John as a prophet.”
So they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.”
And He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Luke 19:47-48
And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priest, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him, and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to Hear Him.

Let us Pray…
Our Father in heaven hallowed be Your Name… please forgive us of our sins, our lack of time, allowing distractions of this world weigh greater than our time with You.
Forgive us of our weakness when daily You pursue to make us strong. Forgive us of our lack of Focus. Abba Father, renew our mind by Your Living Word and by Your Spirit. We cry out for Truth as our lead. We love Jesus and the Holy Spirit and we choose to follow. Help us in our wayward following. Awaken us, forgive us, renew us, restore us, send us a Revival of Fire in our hearts, as we face
the Resurrection Sunday,..make it personal for us, stir that desire and longing, for more. May Jesus Rise Up in us a strong witness. May we humble ourselves to the call of the Holy Spirit. We praise You, we love You, God,..for Your patience, Your Grace, Your Mercy on us in Jesus Name I pray amen.

We we begin the Holy Week today, Palm Sunday. When reading the four gospels, sometimes the events of the days seem to be on different days, but the activities that takes place on Holy week, guide us on the experience and life of Christ during that week.
On Palm Sunday,
Matt 21:1-11
Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them, and bring them to me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, “The Lord has need of them,” and immediately, he will send them.”
All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet saying:
“Tell the daughter of Zion,
Behold, your King is coming to you,
Lowly, and sitting on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.”
So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and He sat on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before, and those who followed, cried out saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
“Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the Highest!”
And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”
So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”
